In 1989, Brenda Wilson saw an opportunity in High Point, North Carolina — a need for professional limousine service, particularly for the area's thriving furniture market. She started Black Tie Transportation with a single stretch limousine, running the company from her home for over a decade. Later she relocated the business to Winston-Salem. What began as one woman's vision became the foundation of one of the Piedmont Triad's most trusted transportation companies.
Her son, Gray Hill, built on that foundation — expanding the fleet from a single limousine to over 100 vehicles, and growing the Black Tie brand into a network of transportation companies serving clients across North Carolina, all 50 US states, and more than 30 countries worldwide. Today, Black Tie Transportation serves thousands of business travelers, families, wedding couples, and organizations each year through its fleet and trusted affiliate network.
As President and Owner, Gray continues to lead Black Tie Transportation with the same personal commitment his mother demonstrated in 1989 — that every client, on every ride, deserves a genuinely exceptional experience.

Founded in High Point, NC
Brenda Wilson founded Black Tie Transportation in High Point, NC with a single stretch limousine — seeing a need for professional limousine service in the area, particularly for the region's thriving furniture market. Running the company from her family home, Brenda laid the foundation for what would become one of North Carolina's most trusted transportation companies. The business relocates to Winston-Salem within its first year, where Gray Hill grows the company into the premier luxury transportation service it is today.

Punctuality Is Non-Negotiable
Arriving on time isn't enough. Every Black Tie chauffeur is dispatched to arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup — giving you time to load, settle, and depart without pressure. If your flight is delayed, we know before you do and adjust automatically using real-time commercial and private flight tracking systems.
Prepared Before Every Pickup
Every vehicle is professionally detailed before each assignment — not weekly, not monthly, before every trip. Interior and exterior. GPS and Tele-Trac monitored from start to finish. Complimentary water and amenities always on board. The vehicle you step into reflects the same care we put into every other part of your experience.
Always Within Reach
Our dispatch team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Early morning airport departures. Late night event pickups. Same-day requests. Holiday travel. There is no hour we are unavailable and no request too last-minute to call about.

Every chauffeur passes DMV record checks, criminal background screenings, and drug testing before their first trip. They then complete professional chauffeur training covering client conduct, route efficiency, vehicle presentation, and emergency protocols. On every assignment: black suit, black tie, black shoes — no exceptions.

Our chauffeurs are trained to maintain complete confidentiality. Conversations, meetings, phone calls, and materials in the vehicle stay in the vehicle. This matters for our corporate clients, our executives, and anyone who simply values their privacy during a ride.
