Old Salem is an authentic restoration and contains approximately 100 restored reconstructed buildings, 12 of them open to the public. Tours are self-guided with costumed interpreters in each of the buildings

Reynolda House
Reynolda House, the home of Richard Joshua Reynolds, was constructed from 1912 to 1917. Today, as a National Historic Property, it houses a fine art collection from American artists, contemprary costumes from the early to mid-1900s, and architecture and furnishings representative of the early Twentieth Century.
